One of my favorite traditions is making a hand print turkey each year. W likes to see how much his hand grows each year.
At school, W decorated a turkey feather to add to the classroom turkey. Each student decorated the feather any way they wanted. W used many of his stickers to make a lovely feather.
We celebrated Thanksgiving at Cousin Kylie's house this year. Many of the Dinkels came to gather together. My parents joined in the fun as well. We relish in any celebration with Bret's grandparents, Bill & Mary. Bill is who William is named after so they have a special bond.

Halloween 2019
Watching the weather forecast leading up to Halloween, we saw that it was going to be very chilly and even some snow. Because of this, we decided to go to ALL of the Trunk or Treats in our city. William is lucky to have some older cousins who handed down their costumes to him. He had a different costume for each Trunk or Treat!

Weekend in Wichita
This year, we purchased season tickets to the Tanganyika Wildlife Park. A few times this year, we have driven down for just a day trip a couple of times to visit the park and drive back. We had a rare weekend free and decided we would stay the whole time. William loved staying in a hotel and getting to swim in October! It was also the park's Halloween celebration weekend, so W was able to wear one of his (many) costumes to the park.
The best part of the park is the ability to get up and close with the animals! All the animals they have at the park are rescues. We were able to pet some of the animals and had feeding passes along with our season tickets.
Since we had an extra day in Wichita, we visited the Old Cowtown Museum. It's a fantastic little place and I so wish we had something like it in Kansas City to take my students to visit! It was a mock up of a pioneer cow town. You could go into the buildings and see what the businesses were like then. There was even a shootout (!) we got to witness! William got hi photo with the sheriff and then the whole cow town shootout ensemble.

W's First Royals Game
We visited Kaufman Stadium for William's first Royals game. W wanted to play all the games in the Little K and watch the players on the field. He had a wonderful time! We had to make a mad dash for the car as it started to pour toward the end of the game.

Light The Night
Light The Night for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is an annual event our family loves going to to celebrate Susie's remission. There are always lots of characters there for W to meet!
