Easter 2019

With a big family like Bret's, each holiday is a big deal! We celebrated Easter twice in Topeka/Meriden on top of visiting the Easter Bunny at Bass Pro.

First up is the Easter Bunny. Whenever we drive by Bass Pro on the highway, W says, "That is where Santa and the Easter Bunny live." Yep, that's who we visit there each year. We went the Friday before Easter right after I got out of school/work. The line wasn't bad and moved quickly. Plus, W and Bret explored the store while I saved our spot in line. W even picked up an Easter craft to make and use as a decoration in our house.

Easter with the Brown family was in Meriden, KS. Bret's Uncle Dave ("Big Dave" to W) and Aunt Linda have a home with land so most family celebrations are held there. The cousins had a great time on their Easter egg hunting. I have never seen a hunt quite like this. There was SO MANY treats to be found: eggs, bubble wands, beach balls, snacks, and of course lots of candy. W filled his Easter basket three times!

Susie has saved Bret's Christmas & Easter outfits from his younger years. For this, I am so very thankful! I love dressing William up in the sweet outfits, knowing his daddy wore them as well. Here's a mini fashion show of this year's Easter outfit. Heart explosion!
*The posing is all William!

The Easter Bunny visited our house and brought more bubbles, candy, and books. William was so excited to see his presents!

Easter with the Dinkel family was in Topeka, KS on Easter morning. He wore his amazing throwback outfit.  William enjoyed a yummy breakfast with his Great Grandpa Dinkel, his namesake. Then an Easter egg hunt, change into play clothes and showing off his scooter skills for his great aunts and uncles. He was the center of attention, his favorite place to be ;)

Before we left Topeka, we wanted to stop by the tulips at Lake Shawnee. They were in full bloom and looking GORGEOUS!

more heart explosions, right?!

W's Intro into Soccer

William started soccer today. Gardner has Micro Soccer for 3 year olds. Each kiddo received a jersey and a min soccer ball. They will have six team meetings; they aren't soccer games. There are about 13 kids in his group. The kiddos practiced running and stopping while listening to the coach, dribbling their soccer ball, and played a little red light/green light. William was a good listener and did what the coach asked (which cannot be said of some of the other kiddos, ha!). He loved it and wanted to go back the next day :)

Gymnastics

William began gymnastics at a local dance studio in March and has continued into April. He has enjoyed getting to practice his cartwheels and jump on the mats. Some of the activities are more "dance" than gymnastics, but William is enjoying it. I think it has helped him work on listen to a teacher and move from activity to activity.
