Christmas #2 & #3

Bret had to work in the afternoon of Christmas Day, but we will still able to celebrate together as a family on Christmas morning. St. Nick (William insists that's his name and won't let us call him Santa) left William's most asked for present in his room: SPIDERMAN RAIN BOOTS! We went in to get him up for the day and he asked, "Did St. Nick come last night? Oh! My rain boots!" He immediately put them on and wore them for the rest of Christmas Day. He has also worn them every day since! We aren't sure where he got the idea that he wanted them. He never saw them in a store or anywhere, but came up with the idea by himself!

After W's nap, he and I headed to Topeka to celebrate Christmas with Susie's extended family. He got to see his Great Grandma Mary & Great Grandpa Bill (who he's named after) as well as play with his cousins. While in Branson earlier this year, Susie & her sisters bought matching snowman shirts for the boys to wear. They looked great! He opened his present from his great grandparents while we were there: power tools just like his daddy has!

It happened to be a rainy day on December 26th. When I went in to get W up for the day, I told him to look out the window that there might be something outside that would make him happy. He jumped up and looked out his window and shouted, "It's raining! I need my Spider Man rain boots!" He put them on with his pjs & we rushed outside to test them out. He was so happy!!

Christmas #3 was a little belated. Between Bret's work schedule and Andrea & Dustin's travel schedule, we wanted to celebrate altogether. William was overwhelmed with gifts and loves his new Marvel super heroes to play with!

pretty cute family!

William's 3rd Birthday

We celebrated William's 3rd birthday with a Donut Party! We had mini donuts from Donutology with yummy flavors (shout out to Peanut Butter & Death By Chocolate, my favorites). We had cute donut decorations all over the house and a home filled with family & friends to celebrate. Instead of presents, we asked guests to bring donations to a local animal shelter. We did the same thing last year & W really enjoyed delivering presents to the doggies.

My favorite thing William says to me now is his response to when I ask him if he'll be my baby still. "No mama, I won't be your baby anymore. But I will be your big kid." Melt my heart, kiddo!
perfect shirt!

We took all the donations to the Great Plains SPCA and then looked around at the pups. W wanted to give them all treats. He was so excited to give them presents. The workers/volunteers were very thankful & started opening everything up right away!
