Target Beauty Products

This evening, I went on a Target run for some beauty products. I picked up four E.L.F. products and a could packages of makeup remover.

I bought two liquid eyeliners: one black and glitter gold. I have other black liquid eyeliners, but the gold was a spur of a moment purchase! I'm excited to wear it :)

 

I bought some eyelid primer. A friend of mine uses primer and recommended it. I have never used this before and am looking forward to seeing how it works!

I am also trying out some eye shadow as well

As well, I picked up some Up & Up make up remover slips. And for $0.97, the price can't be beat! I love using these wipes, they get every bit of make up on my face

Rock Chalk March Madness

With the NCAA tournament in Kansas City this weekend, the hubs and I decided to head down to the Sprint Center to check out the {free} shoot around for the Jayhawks. We definitely cannot afford to attend a game, especially with all the ticket brokers now. So this was out way to be able to see the Jayhawks in action!

Then we finished the evening with a delicious meal from Oklahoma Joe's, best BBQ in Kansas City!

Just a little closer to being Debt Free

Our latest payment to our student loan debt went through yesterday afternoon. We are now sitting pretty at 85.9% paid off! I am so excited to be done with this debt. It is our last debt on Dave Ramsey's Baby Step 2. Then we can move on to building up our emergency fund.

I'm a visual learner

 Next payment is due April 2017, should we just wait til then?! ;)

Happy 3rd Anniversary

Today we celebrated our 3rd wedding anniversary! It was a snowy day in March when we were married. No snow on our anniversary, but there is 4-6" of snow in our forecast here in Kansas.

Favorite Recipes via Pinterest - Dessert

Yesterday, I shared my favorite Pinterest dinner recipes, today is dessert! Which, I believe, is so very very much better than dinner. I love to bake and make desserts. Now that I'm on spring break, I feel like I will be baking up a storm!

Peanut Butter Chocolate Bars: Two of my favorite things in the world PEANUT BUTTER & CHOCOLATE together in a dessert!

S'mores Brownies: So delicious! And you might just keep snacking on these right out of the pan until they are all gone. They are that good.

Cookie Cake: Make your own cookie cake. Substitute chocolate chips for MnM's.

Cinnamon Roll Cake: This one takes a lot of butter (2 sticks!), but it is worth it!

Greek Yogurt Chocolate Chip Cookies: Instead of oil, this recipe uses Greek yogurt. The cookies are light and fluffy and last longer, unless you end up eating them all in one sitting!

Cleaning Grout

What do you do on Spring Break?! I clean and cook!

Today, I tackled the grout in our front entryway. I looked online (read: Pinterest) for some homemade cleaner ideas. They just seem so much safer than all those chemicals in store-bought cleaners. I found one recipe for cleaner on Vintage Restyled and decided to try it out!

I used:

• 1 cup hot water
• 1 cup white vinegar
• 1.5 tablespoons baking soda
• toothbrush to clean
• two cleaning cloths: one to wipe on the solution & one to wipe it off

Be sure to mix this in a tall container as the baking soda bubbles up as it is mixed. Also, add it slowly so you don't have a bubble attack.

The Rodriguez's in Kansas!

My sister, brother-in-law, and niece Mila were in town for a long weekend this past Saturday to Wednesday. This was Mila's first long plane ride (3hr & 20min) and her first time to Kansas. She was shown off the whole time she was here, wherever she went, she met new people who had heard so much about her.

She visited both her great-grandmas

  

We had family time together as well.

Mila visited my classroom, too! The kids really enjoyed the visit. They slathered on the anti-bacterial and then held hands with her. She enjoyed it for the most part, but then there were too many hands and faces in her face. But the students did a great job of being gentle with her. She just watched and watched them.
