Summer Outings: June 26-July 1

June 26- Today wasn't too exciting of a day for William. Mama was tired from getting home from Indianapolis so we stayed low key. We played at home and went up to school for a little (seeing the Honas family as usual!). It is Susie's birthday to we met the family at Texas Roadhouse. Will had a mini-meltdown in his highchair, so Bret found a booster and that made ALL the difference. Now William was part of the party! He was able to be close to both people on his sides and could reach stuff on the table :/

Shoutout: Happy Birthday to Grandma Susie!

June 27- Today, we tried out Backyard Specialists. They are a company that sells backyard play structures and trampolines, but also opens their sample/put together structures as a play place for kids twice a week! It's an awesome idea, they have the play equipment there and it's an easy way to make $2 a kid! William went straight for the Jayhawk basketball court (good kid!), but there wasn't a ball so he had to move on. William was there to explore and climb on/around/under as many things as possible! He definitely loved the trampoline, we returned to it several times!

Ummmm, he climbed up this whole staircase without my help!!!

June 28- We went up to my school's playground this morning to play. It was super windy & Will lost his hat a couple of times. It was hilarious to watch him try to run against the wind!

He loves to type on the keyboard!
Big kid plate, still working on consistency with the fork/spoon

June 29- Man, this kid did not want to wake up this morning! He was still sleeping at 8:15am, it was dark & stormy out so that helped him keep on snoozing. After he woke up, we went to a Hurts Donuts pop-up delivery. It is a donut shop in Wichita that comes to KC every so often. They announce their location and a line forms! We waited about 25 minutes for the delicious donuts!

WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!

June 30- Today was a lazy kind of day! William and I went to Aldi for some groceries while Bret slept, trying to flip his schedule over. William enjoyed an animal book on the drive over :) When we got home, he played with his toys in secret behind the curtain. We took a family trip to Target, where Will both became Spiderman and helped out by pushing the cart!

Trying out his Fourth of July pants!

July 1- Today we went to the public library to get some books for the week. We had to play while we were there, of course! William really liked the locks/pulls/doors in the picture below. There were magnet toys and spinners as well.

Then we went to the Commemorative Air Force open hangar day, first Saturday of the month. They had retired planes out to look at. William was more interested in the toys they had. He worked to collect all the helicopters & planes into the blowup pool. In a moment that made my heart happy, William gave one of his collected toys to a little boy about his age that was crying! I didn't prompt him to do it at all. He saw the boy crying and took a toy over to him. Heart, melted!!

Dinner at Goodcents, a nice Gardner police officer gave William a packet of Royals baseball cards :)
